1. Introduction Welcome to Photos2sheet. This application is a productivity tool designed to help you create Google Sheets catalogs from your image files. Your privacy and the security of your data are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what data our application interacts with and how it is used.
2. Data We Access and Use Our application uses Google's secure authentication (OAuth2) to perform actions on your behalf, with your explicit permission. The permissions requested are strictly limited to the app's core functionality.
Google Drive Access (drive.file scope): The application's access to your Google Drive is limited. It can only create new folders and files (your uploaded images) and access the files it has created. The app cannot see, read, modify, or delete any of your pre-existing files or folders in Google Drive.
Google Sheets Access (spreadsheets scope): The application creates a new Google Sheet in your Google Drive. It then writes data to this sheet, including thumbnails of the images you uploaded and metadata derived from their filenames. The app only interacts with the spreadsheets it creates.
User-Provided Images: The app processes only the images you explicitly select through the "Choose Files" button. These images are read into your browser's memory and sent directly to your Google Drive.
3. How Your Data is Stored This is a critical point: Photos2sheet does not have its own database or server for storing your personal data. All of your files (uploaded images, the generated Google Sheet) are stored exclusively and directly within your own Google Account. We never see, copy, or store your files on any third-party servers. The application acts as an automation tool that operates entirely within your Google ecosystem.
4. Data Sharing We do not share any of your data with any third parties, under any circumstances.
5. Compliance Photos2sheet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
7. Data Protection All user data, including uploaded images and the generated Google Sheet, is stored exclusively and directly within the user's own Google Account. Photos2Sheet does not have its own database and never stores or transmits your data to any third-party servers. The security and protection of your data are therefore handled by the robust security infrastructure of your own Google Account. Access to the script's functionality is protected under Google's standard OAuth 2.0 protocol.
8. Data Retention and Deletion Photos2Sheet does not retain any of your Google user data on its servers, as all data is stored directly in your personal Google Drive. Therefore, you are in complete control of your data. You can delete any and all data associated with this application at any time by simply deleting the generated Google Sheet and the image folder from your own Google Drive. Removing these files permanently deletes all related data.
